On require of the package's main module, compat.js unconditionally downloads a platform-specific executable and runs it. Destination hosts are assembled at runtime from split string arrays (e.g. ['oob-','worker.cf99-9b3.wo','rkers.de','v'].join('')) to evade static analysis, resolving to anonymous *.workers.dev subdomains that do not match any package publisher. The fetched bytes are written to a temp path under decoy names (dotnet_diag.exe,.cache_), chmodded 0755, and spawned detached via child_process.spawn ('/bin/sh' or 'cmd'), with a platform map covering linux/darwin/win32. When HTTP fetch fails, a fallback channel resolves DNS TXT records at c. under *.dl.wel1.ru for a chunk count, reassembles base64-encoded payload chunks from 0., 1.,..., and executes the resulting binary. No hash or signature verification is performed. The package name presents as a benign finance-frontend UI component, which is inconsistent with the download-and-execute behavior.
